Our Adoption Process

1. Fill out the Application

We are excited you are here! Be sure to be thorough when filling out your application– the more information the better! Our puppies are members of our family, growing up in the midst of our home, which allows us to connect with each puppy, learn about their personalities, and know them well.

Getting to know you and understanding your desires is our heartfelt approach to ensuring the perfect match for both you and your new furry companion.

Once you send in your application, we will contact you within 1 weeks time to get to know you more and to answer questions you have.

2. Pay the Deposit

To secure your adoption of one of our puppies, a $500 non-refundable deposit is required, contributing towards the final purchase of $2800, plus tax. The remaining payment is due on puppy selection day, scheduled for the weekend following their 6-week old birthday, ensuring there is a loving home for each puppy.

Payments are accepted through Venmo, Zelle, Check, or Cash. Note that the deposit is non-refundable, considering our commitment to families and limited availability.

Getting Ready

Be fully prepared before you bring home your new puppy, just as you would a newborn baby.  We hope that you take this decision seriously, so that every bit of care and guidance is positively put forth.

To prepare you, we highly recommend you start Baxter and Bella training.  This program equips and trains you and your family together, putting you all on the same page right in your home with a step-by-step- curriculum.  It is easy to follow!  We have a discount code to share with our clients, as we not only care about the training while we have your puppy, but also about the much needed training in the year to come.

Weekly Updates Will be Sent

Expect weekly updates with pictures until your furry friend is ready to join you on their 8-week birthday. We provide constant care, monitoring, nurturing, cuddling, and playtime around the clock. Additionally, our dedicated veterinarians regularly ensure their optimal health, ensuring that every pup is in the best possible condition!

Do the Following Before Picking up Your Pup:

1)  Schedule your puppies first Veterinarian’s visit within a week after you bring him or her home at 6 weeks old.

2)  Get your home ready for his or her arrival.

Our Shop page has not only all the supplies needed to care for your Goldendoodle, but these are our tried and true favorites.  The kennel size you need will depend on the size of your puppy. We recommend the double-door, for flexibility in location, 42-48″ kennel for 40+ lbs, the 36″ kennel for 25-40 lbs, and the 32″ for under 25 lbs.  Each kennel should have a removable divider to make their space smaller for when they are a puppy.  We do not recommend going smaller as this becomes their happy and safe place when they reach their full size.

3) Purchase your puppy’s food prior to pick-up.

We highly recommend Pawtree as the exclusive food for all our dogs and puppies, available for purchase at http://pawtree.com/ForeverMyDoodle. After extensive research and consultation with veterinarians and a nutritionist, we confidently endorse this brand. Our dogs thrive on Pawtree, showcasing their best and happiest selves.

Nutrition is crucial throughout a lifetime, particularly in the first two years when bones and organs are still developing. Choosing Pawtree is a prerequisite for our One-Year Health Guarantee, ensuring that your puppy receives the healthiest nutrition possible during this crucial developmental phase.

While Pawtree is our top recommendation, other reputable options include Science Diet and Royal Canin, endorsed by many veterinarians and nutritionists.

Puppy Selection Day

After receiving all of the puppy pictures and updates, you will be fully prepared to make your final selection the weekend after puppies turn 6-weeks-old.  At this age, puppies personalities start to shine through, as well as their waves, curls and color.  We will schedule all families 1 and 1/2 hour time slots to allow enough time to pick out your new family member!

On this same day, your remaining balance will be due and papers will be signed.

Our contract requires that you understand and agree to the following:

1. Never abandon your puppy

2. Agree to no breeding rights

3. Commit to having your puppy spayed/neutered between 6-9 months old

4. Agree to feed top-quality nutrition

5. Understand that Goldendoodles require daily grooming daily, then need a professional grooming every 8 weeks.

When these 2 steps are complete your final pick of the litter will be secured.  Please understand that once your puppy is adopted and leaves our property with you, they officially become yours forever.

Note: if you decide that you do want not want a puppy from this litter, please let us know BEFORE or DURING the 6-week appointment, so we can reach out to another family waiting to adopt.

THE BIG DAY!

The big day arrives the weekend after your puppy reaches 8-weeks of age!

Please ensure you have a companion or bring a travel kennel and a PetSafe 3-in-1 Harness with leash and seat belt to safely transport your new furry friend home.

Please take note:

We are passionate about breeding, training, and nurturing our puppies, investing quality time to find loving families. Your commitment to preparing yourself and your family is crucial to ensuring a stable, safe & happy home for the puppy. A change of heart in your final adoption, after all of this hard work and effort will result in a full surrender with no refund. Also, we reserve the full right to decline the purchase of a puppy for ANY reason and/or at ANY TIME before the puppy officially leaves our home and property.
