This is the big-picture journey of adopting from Forever My Doodle. It begins by completing our adoption application. Once submitted, I personally review it and call each family within 24 hours to connect, answer questions, and ensure we’re the right fit for one another.

Families then place a deposit to join a specific litter, with the time of deposit determining pick order. From there, the journey truly begins; one filled with excitement, connection, and watching your future puppy grow via weekly photo album updates!

Each puppy comes from fully DNA-clear parents (no carriers), is raised in our home, vet-checked, microchipped, and lovingly socialized from day one. This investment ensures you are bringing home a healthy, well-adjusted, and deeply loved family companion.

This section breaks down the journey step by step, so families know exactly what to expect:

1. Application Submitted – You complete our adoption application.

2. Personal Call Within 24 Hours – I personally call you to connect, learn about your family, and answer questions.

3. Deposit & Litter Reservation – Families place a deposit to join a litter; deposit date determines puppy pick order.

4. Weekly Updates – Families receive weekly photos and videos through a private Google Album, watching the puppies grow, play, and develop their signature fluffy Teddybear coats.

5. Puppy Pick Day – Held the weekend after puppies are 5–6 weeks old, when families officially choose their puppy.

6. Go-Home Day – At 8 weeks old, families bring home their sweet baby, confident, socialized, and ready to love.

At Forever My Doodle, we intentionally breed Petite, Mini, and Medium Goldendoodles to fit a variety of homes and lifestyles. Because we work with fully DNA-clear parents and carefully selected pairings, our size ranges are very consistent and predictable.

Here’s what families can expect:

Petite Goldendoodles
• Adult weight: 8–18 lbs
• Adult height: 8–13 inches at the shoulder
Petites are perfect for families wanting a smaller companion with a gentle nature. They travel well, are easy to manage, and bring all the love of a Goldendoodle in a compact size.

Mini Goldendoodles
• Adult weight: 18–30 lbs
• Adult height: 13–17 inches at the shoulder
Minis are a wonderful middle ground — sturdy enough for active families, yet still easy to handle. They’re playful, affectionate, and adaptable to many lifestyles.

Medium Goldendoodles
• Adult weight: 30–45 lbs
• Adult height: 17–20 inches at the shoulder
Medium Goldendoodles are ideal for families wanting a slightly larger dog with a calm, loyal presence. They are great companions for walks, playtime, and relaxed family living.

No matter the size, all of our Goldendoodles share the same heart: loving temperaments, Teddybear coats, low-to-no shedding, and a deep desire to be close to their people. During your adoption call, I’m always happy to help you choose the size that will be the perfect fit for your family and home.

6. What kind of grooming is required?

Our Goldendoodles have low-to-no shedding, hypoallergenic coats, but they still need regular care. We recommend:

• Brushing: 2–3 times per week to prevent matting

• Professional grooming: every 6–8 weeks

• Bathing: weekly or as needed

Regular grooming keeps their coat healthy and ensures they stay happy, soft, and cuddly. We have some of our favorite products and tools on our shop page.

Goldendoodles are active dogs that require at least 30 to 60 minutes of exercise daily, such as walks, playtime, or running.  They are not super high energy, but need to strengthen their heart and muscles just like we do!
