I’m Jeanna Kite, and I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a proud wife to my husband, Kevin, and a dedicated mother who has had the joy of homeschooling our five children for the past 23 years. Although some of our children are now adults, they remain an essential part of our lives and the heart of our family. At Kite Family Farms, we’re committed to a life rooted in family, purpose, commitment, and joy—and I’m thrilled to share that journey with you. Our family has many passions, and at the heart of it all is our faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We’re blessed by the joy of life with family, friends, and the simple pleasures of country living. We raise chickens, goats, and Goldendoodles on our acreage, tend a spring garden, and nurture fruit trees and berry bushes. My husband also enjoys woodworking in his spare time, creating with the same hands that care for our farm. Life here lets us enjoy fresh eggs, cheese, vegetables, fruit, jam, and goat’s milk when it’s available. Each summer, we preserve the abundance of blueberries, pears, and mulberries. Caring for the land and animals has been a treasured part of our marriage from the start for our family.
Even before marriage, our greatest passion has been sharing Christ and following His guidance in every part of our lives. Over the past 25 years, our family has been able to serve in a multitude of local and international ministries, as well as mission work in several countries, which has taken us across the U.S. and beyond. These experiences have been both an education and a privilege, instilling genuine love and compassion for people. We aim to reflect the peace and joy that Christ brings into our lives, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to do so.
With this heart, we carry our values into our Goldendoodle breeding program. We’re committed to the highest integrity and care in all we do, not only in raising these wonderful companions but also in treating every family with warmth and respect. Each Goldendoodle we raise is cherished, well-socialized, and nurtured with the same dedication we extend to our family and faith. In everything, we strive to bring glory to God, hoping our dogs bring joy, comfort, and love to others as part of our mission.
Our Goldendoodle journey started in 2011 when it was time for our family to get a puppy.
With allergies in our family, I knew we needed a hypoallergenic puppy with low-shedding hair. Well, it didn’t take long for us to discover and fall in love with this Goldendoodle breed! We found an adorable cream-puff-colored English Goldendoodle. Soon, we realized this breed also has a unique disposition: high intellect, genuine love, and sincere loyalty to our whole family.
Over time, I kept researching more about the breed, its temperament, and its DNA—I became hooked. I read articles confirming over and over that this breed was indeed unparalleled. People continually commented that our Goldendoodle was beautiful, wonderfully trained, and incredibly sweet; they wanted one just like her!
This ignited the idea and desire to create and share more of our sweet Opal to bless families. I could not get this idea out of my head, so I began researching and talking with breeders, therapy and training organizations, and Genetic Companies to learn more. In 2017, we decided as a family to move forward with breeding. We brought our ideas and research together as we studied more of what we wanted the business to look like. It was the beginning of another family adventure!
We soon established high standards and goals for a trusted and unique program to make this dream happen. Our Goldendoodles had clear health DNA, no carriers, and an excellent coat DNA that gave the desired hypo-allergenic and teddy bear look, so we were blessed with a great beginning. We focused in on DNA, training temperament, intelligence, finding families that value the same heartbeat, and the list goes on.
